By researching market trends and conducting competitor analysis, you will develop and implement sales strategies. The Sales Director Role at Spicy Drops will lead our sales strategies to promote our all-natural, specialty food products. This role is crucial in expanding our market presence and achieving sales objectives through innovative approaches and strong vendor relationships. Success in this position will be defined by increased sales volume, market share growth, and fostering a motivated sales team.

Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with our brand mission.

  • Create engaging sales packages for various clients to showcase our unique flavors and products.

  • Drive successful sales initiatives for our direct to consumer, wholesale, and festival models.

  • Analyze market trends and customer feedback to improve product offerings and marketing initiatives.

  • Manage sales initiatives and partnerships to expand our reach.

  • Lead the sales team to ensure cohesive messaging and support business goals.

  • Analyze and track sales performance metrics

  • Collaborate with internal and external clients and partners

  • Manage sales budget and showcase ROI

  • Creating, evaluating, and reporting on Key Performance Indicators

  • Prepare operational and financial sales department reports

  • Oversee the management, learning, and career development of the sales team

  • Directly coordinate cross-selling and joint marketing initiatives to maximize exposure and profitability

  • Lead Generation: Researching leads, making calls, and following up with potential customers and clients 

  • Customer Databases: Maintaining customer databases 

  • Sales Reporting: Creating sales reports 

  • Email Campaigns: Managing email campaigns 

  • Meetings: Participating in company meetings 

  • Sales Processes: Optimizing and documenting sales processes

  • Product Training: Participating in product training 

  • Market Research: Conducting market research


Qualifications


  • A degree or certification in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • Sales experience in the food industry, preferably in specialty or natural products.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and customer insights.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and creative skills, with a passion for culinary arts or the food industry.

  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools, sales tools, customer databases, and social media platforms.

  • Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing sales teams.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Passion for culinary arts, the food industry and an understanding of customer preferences in the food market.

Compensation


  • This position is currently 100% commission based, with the opportunity to evolve into a part-time or full-time salaried position with benefits and bonuses.
